Tribute to the late Karpal Singh
Thousands gathered at the Kuala Lumpur-Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) in the evening of 24th April 2014 to pay their tribute to the late Karpal Singh, who died in a car accident near Gua Tempurung, Perak, a week ago.
Pakatan Rakyat leaders, politicians, NGO representatives, foreign dignitaries, diplomats, activists and local people from KL and Selangor thronged the memorial service in thousands. Puchong MP, Gobind Singh Deo, represented on behalf of his family during the event.
Notable attendees were DAP leaders Lim Guan Eng, Lim Kit Siang, Tan Kok Wai, Tan Seng Giaw, Teresa Kok, Ean Yong, Liew Chin Tong, M. Kulasegaran, Yeo Bee Yin and Lau Weng San. Mohamad Sabu represented PAS during the event, Anwar Ibrahim turned up for the memorial as well. Also seen were former Bar Council and Bersih chair, Ambiga Sreenevasan, Datuk A. Samad Said and Hishammudin Rais.
